Based in the Fox Valley, Kirstin has been working with dogs in a variety of capacities for over 25 years and practicing privately in Behavior since 2008. She received an undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Olaf College in Minnesota and has a Masters Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Animal Behavior through University of Wisconsin. She's previously worked for a biotech lab in Minneapolis and as a line therapist with Wisconsin Early Autism Project. Kirstin is a professional member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and has also been certified through The Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT), which requires that she pursue continuous education. Additionally, she has built collaborative relationships with several area veterinarians and their staff who often refer clients. Kirstin believes training dogs is not about using force or inflicting fear, but should be enriching and trust-based through positive, science-supported techniques. Kirstin is passionate about teaching owners to understand their dogs in order to create a mutually enjoyed relationship, and stress-free home.
